The name Ser Jacopo is closely connected with Giancarlo Guidi. Together with Bruto Sordini (who would later found Don Carlos) he left Mastro de Paja and started Ser Jacopo in 1982.
Giancarlo passed away in 2012. He left behind a valuable legacy of numerous pipe shapes and series, considered true "Pesaro pipe school" classics by collectors around the world.
Today the company, headed by Maurizio Fraternale, is still home to some of the most talented and most creative pipe makers in Italy.
