Founded 1825, Chacom (Chapuis Comoy) is the oldest existent pipe manufacturer worldwide. Seated amidst the wild and mountained scenery of the French Jura, one can find the 'Pipe-Mecca' Saint-Claude, the birthplace of the briar pipe. Here for the first time pipes were made of the burl wood of the Erica Arborea plant.
The owner of the company, Antoine Grenard, studied industrial design and is a descendant of the founder family Comoy. Amongst many wonderful classic shapes you will also find modern creations of art.
